About Node Electronics
Certified-grade avionics, built for unmanned flight
For 35 years, our team has designed and manufactured avionics for general aviation and OEM aircraft programs. Today, we bring that same discipline to the fast-growing world of unmanned and optionally piloted aircraft.
35 years of certified avionics
Node Electronics products are built in an FAA-approved manufacturing facility holding Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA). That approval reflects a production system built around documented processes, configuration control, traceability, and consistent quality, the same standards expected of equipment installed in certified aircraft. Pilots and aircraft manufacturers have relied on our avionics for more than three decades.

More than a decade in large unmanned systems
Our engineers have spent over ten years working on large unmanned aircraft: multicopters, VTOLs, helicopters, and fixed-wing platforms. We understand the electrical, environmental, and integration demands these aircraft face in the field, and we design for them from the start rather than adapting hobby-grade parts after the fact.
Why we exist
The unmanned industry has matured faster than its components. Many systems still depend on electronics built for consumer drones, while operators, integrators, and regulators increasingly expect the reliability of manned aviation. Node Electronics fills that gap with certifiable, aviation-grade avionics that bring the robustness of certified equipment to unmanned and optionally piloted aircraft.
Built to survive the mission
Every Node Electronics product is engineered for harsh operating environments:
- Machined aluminum housings for strength, shielding, and heat dissipation
- Full potting to protect electronics against vibration, shock, and moisture
- Published operating temperature ranges on every product, so you know exactly where it can fly
- Water ingress protection for real-world weather and field conditions
What we make
Our product line includes DroneCAN nodes, rugged DC-DC power converters, and CAN bus distribution hardware, building blocks designed to integrate cleanly into professional aircraft and scale from prototype to production.
