Put the receiver where it's safe and the antenna where it sees the sky.
Puck-style GPS units force the receiver to live wherever the antenna has to go: exposed on a mast, in the weather, in the vibration. The gpsNODE separates the two. The receiver sits in a sealed, potted aluminum housing wherever it's best protected, and your external GNSS antenna connects to the gold SMA port on top. Two sealed CAN connectors put it on the DroneCAN bus.
Key features
- DroneCAN GNSS receiver for ArduPilot and PX4 autopilots
- Gold-plated SMA (female) antenna port on top for an external active GNSS antenna
- Two sealed TE DEUTSCH UAV-series 6-way circular connectors (CAN 1 / CAN 2) for daisy-chaining on the bus
- Fully potted, sealed, green anodized aluminum housing with four mounting ears; engineered to DO-160G and MIL-STD-810H environmental standards; −10 °C to +55 °C operating
- Made in our FAA-approved manufacturing facility
Typical uses: external-antenna GNSS installs · aircraft with skin-mounted or mast-mounted antennas · keeping the receiver out of the weather

About Node
Built like avionics, because that's what we build. Node is an avionics manufacturer holding FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), and we've built avionics for general aviation and OEM customers for 35 years. For more than a decade we've also flown large unmanned systems: multicopters, VTOLs, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Every Node Electronics part is made in our FAA-approved manufacturing facility, housed in anodized aluminum and engineered to DO-160G and MIL-STD-810H environmental standards, the same standards certifiable UAS autopilots are built to. It's the hardware the unmanned and optionally piloted industry needs when "good enough for a hobby build" isn't.
