Built to order. Typically ships in 3–4 weeks.
A rugged 12 V rail for payloads and peripherals.
Gimbals, lighting, LTE modems, network switches and a long list of off-the-shelf payloads run on 12 V. On a 3S pack that's a problem: the battery starts at 12.6 V and spends most of the flight below 12. The PowerNODE 12V steps up as well as down, so it holds a regulated 12 V ±4% at about 2 A from any 3–30 V input, start of flight to landing. It's sealed in a fully potted aluminum housing that also spreads heat.
Key features
- 3–30 V input (2S to 6S LiPo) to a regulated 12 V ±4% output
- Step-up/step-down design: a true 12 V from a 3S pack, even as it sags
- About 2 A typical output current at 80–90% typical efficiency
- Reverse-voltage protection to 30 V, over-current protection, thermal shutdown and under-voltage lockout
- Fully potted in a black anodized aluminum case: nothing exposed, nothing to shake loose
- Engineered to DO-160G and MIL-STD-810H environmental standards; −10 °C to +55 °C operating
- IP67 flanged DB9 connector with gold contacts and 4-40 jackscrews, plus a remote ENABLE pin to switch the rail off from your flight controller
- Made in our FAA-approved manufacturing facility
Typical uses: camera gimbals · strobes, nav and payload lighting · LTE / 5G modems and routers · Ethernet switches · 12 V sensors and mission payloads

About Node
Built like avionics, because that's what we build. Node is an avionics manufacturer holding FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), and we've built avionics for general aviation and OEM customers for 35 years. For more than a decade we've also flown large unmanned systems: multicopters, VTOLs, helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Every Node Electronics part is made in our FAA-approved manufacturing facility, housed in anodized aluminum, fully potted, and engineered to DO-160G and MIL-STD-810H environmental standards, the same standards certifiable UAS autopilots are built to. It's the hardware the unmanned and optionally piloted industry needs when "good enough for a hobby build" isn't.
